Measuring human brain activity using NIRS, a non-invasive instrument
We measure the brain activity in humans with NIRS (Near Infrared Spectroscopy). NIRS is the apparatus for a non-invasive measurement of the blood flood at the brain surface related to the whole brain neural activity with near infrared laser. NIRS is also effective in diagnosing psychosis such as depression, as it is often more restrictive and less stressed on examinees than the other brain measurement devices.
